Clowns have always been in the imagination of children.
This handstand circus clown was not the only one that Martin and his successors made.
This clown usually misses his pointy hat because it was attached to his head with only a few stitches of a thin thread.
when he is wound up he starts to move like so many of Martin’s toys namely vibrating with small steps from left to right as if he is walking on his hands

The clowns I have seen where clearly marked with “FM” under the right foot and probably something more, but this was not recognizable in any of the clowns. (See picture below).
